Prateći iskustva više od 600 preživjelih s balkanske rute u razdoblju od 2019. do 2023. godine, knjiga svjedoči o svakodnevnom otporu nasilju, ilegalizaciji i dehumanizaciji ljudskih života, nastojeći pritom poslužiti kao trajni dokument u budućim pravnim procesima i narodnim tribunalima.
Drawing on the experiences of more than 600 survivors of the Balkan Route between 2019 and 2023, the book bears witness to everyday resistance against violence, illegalization, and the dehumanization of human lives, while seeking to serve as a lasting document for future legal proceedings and people’s tribunals.
O knjizi i temama koje obrađuje na promociji su govorili Josipa Lulić (povjesničarka umjetnosti, trenerica kazališta potlačenih i aktivistica SLC-a), Ivana Perić (novinarka tjednika Novosti, članica Sindikata novinara Hrvatske i feminističkog kolektiva fAKTIV), Drago Župarić-Iljić (izvanredni profesor na Odsjeku za sociologiju Filozofskog fakulteta u Zagrebu, koji se u nastavi i istraživanju bavi migracijama, izbjeglištvom, etničkim odnosima i sociodemografijom) te selma banich (autorica), uz moderaciju Marijane Hameršak (znanstvena savjetnica Instituta za etnologiju i folkloristiku).
At the book launch, the book and the themes it addresses were discussed by Josipa Lulić (art historian, Theatre of the Oppressed trainer, and SLC activist), Ivana Perić (journalist for the weekly Novosti, member of the Croatian Journalists’ Union and the feminist collective fAKTIV), Drago Župarić-Iljić (Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, whose teaching and research focus on migration, forced displacement, ethnic relations, and sociodemography), and selma banich (author), moderated by Marijana Hameršak (Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Research).
